Minoru Manifesto – Call for Performers!

Join Minoru Chapel and City Centre Community Centre Artist in Residence Julie Hammond to create an original performance for Richmond Culture Days. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own text and movement, and work in collaboration with community members and professional artists.

The performance will be created from individual and community stories of what we carry, where we come from, and what we believe in.

No prior theatre or performance experience is required. Special skills (music, dance, rap, poetry, visual art) and people of all ages & backgrounds are welcome.

Rehearsals – City Centre Community Centre, 5900 Minoru Blvd
Group 1: Tuesdays, August 20 – September 24, 7-9pm
Group 2: Thursdays, August 22 – September 26, 2-4pm
Everyone: Wednesday, Sept 25 (location TBD) and Friday, Sept 27, 7-9pm (Minoru Chapel)

Performance – Minoru Chapel, 6540 Gilbert Road
Sunday, September 29, 2:00pm

Participants are welcome to attend Group 1 (Tuesday) or Group 2 (Thursday) sessions, or both!
